Privacy Policy

“Find Your Singapore” is a free quiz hosted by Auntie Mei, together with a set of free Singapore travel guides. We care about your privacy and collect as little as we can. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, what advertising and affiliate links we use, and why.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage events. As you use the site we record actions such as visiting a page, starting the quiz, which answers you tap, your traveler-type result, taps on “share” and on affiliate/booking links, your approximate country (derived from your network connection), and timestamps. A random ID is created for each visit so we can follow one session through the quiz — it is not linked to your name or any account, and there is no sign-up.
• Questions you type to Auntie Mei. The open chat sends your question to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider to generate a reply, and stores the question text so we can improve the answers. Please don’t type personal information into the chat.
• Basic technical data. Your IP address is handled by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the site and to rate-limit abuse; we do not store it alongside your activity.

We do not ask for your name, email, or any account details.

Advertising (guide pages only)

Our travel guide pages may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve, measure and report on ads. Two things we do deliberately:

• We request non-personalized ads (NPA). This means ads are based on the content of the page you’re reading and your rough location, not on a behavioural profile built from your browsing history.
• We show no ads at all inside the quiz or the chat — only on the guide articles. We use no pop-ups and no interstitials.

You can review and control how Google uses data at google.com/policies/technologies/partner-sites and adjust ad settings at myadcenter.google.com. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will not stop you using this site.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site — including the booking buttons after your quiz result and links inside the guides — are affiliate links to partners such as Klook and GetYourGuide. If you book through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking one takes you to that partner’s site, where their own privacy policy and cookies apply; they may set a cookie to attribute the booking to us. We record the click anonymously on our side (which link, no personal data). Affiliate relationships never change what we recommend.

Why we collect it

• To understand what visitors enjoy and improve the quiz, the guides and the recommendations.
• To keep the site reliable, secure, and free to use.

Who processes it

The site and its anonymous analytics run on Cloudflare (hosting, security and storage). Chat questions are processed by our AI provider, DeepSeek, to generate replies. Advertising on the guide pages is served by Google. Booking links go to Klook and GetYourGuide. Each of these has its own privacy policy.

Retention & your choices

Anonymous events are kept so we can analyse trends over time. Because the data is anonymous we usually cannot connect it back to a single person, but if you have a question or want information removed, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

Children

This experience is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the experience evolves; we’ll change the “last updated” date above when we do.
